Terms of Service
Version 2026-06-22 · Last updated June 22, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of Crossary. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Crossaryis operated as a sole trader (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@crossary.com; our postal address is available on request.
2. What the service does
Crossary helps you turn source and target specification artifacts into reviewed, implementation-ready data-mapping workbooks. The AI proposes a field inventory and mapping suggestions with evidence; you decidewhat to accept. Marking an integration “Validated” means it passed our structural and cardinality checks — it does not certify semantic correctness, that transformations execute correctly, sample-data behavior, or downstream success. You remain responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. One person per login.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you do not have the right to process;
- reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to circumvent usage limits or security of the service;
- abuse AI compute (for example, automated bulk runs designed to exhaust resources) or attempt to disrupt the service for others;
- use the service to violate any law or third-party rights.
5. Plans, credits, and billing
We offer a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until cancelled. AI usage is metered as compute credits attached to your plan; plan allowances, renewals, and any purchased top-ups are described at checkout and in the app. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your paid period; we do not give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it. You authorize us to charge applicable taxes.
6. Your content and ownership
You retain all rights to the artifacts you upload and the mappings and exports you produce (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the service. Our reuse feature (“Mapping Memory”) is scoped to your own workspace and captures only approved field-pair decisions; we do not use Your Content to train shared or third-party models, and we do not share it across customers. See the Privacy Policy.
7. AI output — no warranty of correctness
AI suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. The service is designed to abstain rather than guess and to surface evidence, but it does not guarantee that any mapping is correct or fit for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and validating output before using it. The service is provided as a decision-support tool, not professional advice.
8. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Crossary software, design, and marks. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they grant you no rights in our IP beyond that.
9. Confidentiality
We treat Your Content as confidential and protect it as described in the Privacy Policy. You agree to treat any non-public information about the service as confidential.
10. Term and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others. On termination, your right to use the service ends and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy (subject to limited legal retention).
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim or €100.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or from content you upload without the necessary rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the version and date appear at the top. For material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you and, where appropriate, ask you to re-accept. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and disputes are subject to the courts of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
